Original SSC CGL imageSSC CGL Examination
The SSC CGL (Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level) examination is a major recruitment examination for graduate-level posts in various Central Government departments and ministries.
The original SarkariBabu page describes the examination structure and provides links to the posts and salary information.
Scheme of the Examination
The original page describes the Computer Based Examination in two tiers:
Objective-type multiple-choice questions. The original article notes that questions are set in English and Hindi except English Comprehension.
Includes Paper-I and, for specified shortlisted candidates/posts, Paper-II and Paper-III.
Tier-I
The original article states that Tier-I consists of objective-type multiple-choice questions and mentions negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.
For the current examination pattern, candidates should always check the latest SSC notification because the scheme, subjects, marks and qualifying requirements can change.
Tier-II
Paper-I is compulsory for all posts. The original article identifies Paper-II for candidates for Junior Statistical Officer and Statistical Investigator Grade-II where applicable, and Paper-III for candidates shortlisted for Assistant Audit Officer / Assistant Accounts Officer.
